1. Posting of Personal Info

In the event that any member posts personal information on any other member, the following action will be taken:

1.1 If you threaten to post personal information of a member, you will receive an infraction, which will remain for 1 year. If you receive 2 infractions within 1 year of each other, step 1.2 will be implemented.

1.2 - If you directly post personal information without consent, which can include: Posting of real names, posting pictures of members or members of their family, posting of email addresses, posting of work places, posting of home city - basically anything deemed as personal information that the person has not readily disclosed, then the following action will be taken immediately, without warning:

1. The offender will be given a 3 day ban and an instant infraction for 1 year - again 2 infractions within 1 year of each other and you will be perma-banned!

2. If personal information is posted outwith 1 year of each instance you will receive a 14 day ban!

3. If it happens again regardless of timescale you will be perma-banned, and unless the person who's information has been posted, requests that you be allowed back on, you will remain perma-banned.

I do hope that this rule is never broken, The Miserable Men forum is all about having fun and we would hate the actions of a few spoiling the forum for the rest of us.

2. General Posting Rules

2.1 No "Flaming": Please do not post any messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or members of their family.

2.2 No "Trolling": Please do not post any topic that disrupts the peace and harmony of this board. Please don't "troll" a member through various threads, this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with a member that's your business, please don't make it everyone else's, we've all got our own problems. The "ignore" feature is very useful in combating people you don't like, please use this feature! Don't create meaningless threads with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. This includes messages in profiles and signatures.

2.3 No senseless "Bumping": Please do not bump your threads several times a day. Remember there are people who don't browse this board every hour.

2.4 No "Offensive" Posts, Links or Images: Please do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or otherwise violate any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not. these rules are here for our protection/enjoyment. Enforcement of these rules WILL be carried out. The forum is meant to be a fun and interesting place, not just full of posts saying.. "i hate so and so" etc, etc. it isn't going to encourage new members. Its a waste of time for the administrators and moderators to be deleting a handful of post every day.

The following is the action that will be taken by admin concerning personal attacks on the forum:

1. the thread will be closed

2. you will be sent a pm with a warning and given an infraction

3. if it happens again you will receive a 3 day ban

4. and if you persist you will be perma-banned.

3. Copyrighted Materials

3.1 No "spreading of copyrighted material": Please do not upload, attach or post anything that is copyright or licensed without prior consent of the owner. If we are contacted by someone saying you have broke this rule, there must be consequences.

4. Signature Rules

Although we are not too strict as to signatures, the following rules apply:

4.1 Content restrictions

You may have a link to your own website or services, but there must be no promotional language. Dynamic scripts linked in signatures that attempt to create cookies in another person's browser are not allowed for security reasons, and will be removed.

All signatures will be looked at by administrators and if deemed inappropriate, you will be asked to change them. Failure to comply with these rules will result in an administrator or moderator, changing your signature for you. For persistent offenders the signature system will be removed, and an infraction given - 2 infractions within a 6 month period will result in a 3 day ban.
